Dry Shampoo.

Being a loyal Batiste fan, I have been very reluctant to try other dry shampoos. In all honesty the only ones that I have ever tried are from Batiste or the drugstore own brands (and even then, that was because my beloved Batiste was not stocked at the airport, sad times.) however, this new Herbal Essences one really caught my eye while wondering the aisles of boots. I'm not sure whether it was the claim that this has 0 colourants - something that you quite like to hear when you have dark hair and are purchasing dry shampoo - or my love for everything that comes in matte white packaging but I decided to break free from the creature of habit within me, be adventurous and try something a bit different for once...

Natural Nude.

It seems that recently everybody is after the perfect natural/nude lip combo (potentially has something to do with a particular Jenner sister ehem...), anyway, seeing as the cult favourite Mac Velvet Teddy really does not suit my scarily pale skin, I had to venture out and find one which would suit me a lot better. Lone behold I cam across this duo from L'oreal when I made a quick pit stop at Superdrug a few months ago - as you do - and I have been wearing it ever since...

Lip Lover

I have to admit that I am not usually one to be drawn to Lancome products; I've always thought that they were on the 'older ladies' scale of the high end makeup and skin care brand. However, this little beauty appeared in my christmas stocking (courtesy of my mother) and I think I may have fallen in love slightly. It is called the Lip Lover set and contains three lip glosses in the shades 'Rose Attrape-Coer' (a pretty peachy pink colour), 'Lip Lover' (a mid-tone rosey pink) and 'Framboise Etoile' (a pink toned red). These glosses are a hybrid of a lip balm, lip gloss and lipstick and I have to say that they really do step up to those claims.
L-R Framboise Etoile, Lip Lover & Rose Attrape-Coer
When on your lips, these lipglosses feel really smooth and nourishing and not too sticky like some others out there so they feel comfortable to wear on a daily basis. Although I love this time of year, chapped lips seems to be an issue for me however these smooth out my lips with no trouble whatsoever - it's almost like these can photoshop your lips haha...

Masquerade Ball

Masquerade Ball

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/13702825/?claim=8z6ppb3989q">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

So last Saturday I attended an event at my school known as the Masquerade Ball. It’s basically the majority of the sixth form all under one roof for a sit-down, three course meal and then having a bit of dance afterwards. Despite it being a masquerade ball, no one really kept their ‘identity’ a secret for more than two minutes… (It goes without saying, the mask wearing was rather scarce). Everyone seemed to put in a lot of effort in to their makeup, hair and outfits and needless to say I was one of those girls that did… yup that’s right, a whole 3 hours’ worth of preparation went in to one evening – so I thought it would be a pitty not to have my first post dedicated to the evening.

I’m the (small) girl standing on the left hand side:
-          Dress: Boohoo.com – petite Candice side split dress in Black (the split isn’t really visible in the picture, sorry)
-          Shoes: Newlook – Maroon wedges
-      Mask: honestly i got it from eBay for around the £1.50 mark.
I matched the maroon wedges with a dark red lip by using the   L’Oreal L’Extrordinaire by Color Riche lip gloss in Ruby        Opera 304 and then layered a tiny ammount of the Rimmel  Apocalips Lip Lacquer in the shade Eclipse to give it a slightly  vampier look.

Sorry for the really posey pictures but you get the idea haha… Hope you’re all having a nice day
E xo
